LOCAL ENGAGEMENT
In Hettstedt, both the local football and swimming clubs are supported by Elcowire. For smaller children there is also support of the local Zoo, as well as playrooms in local schools. On top of this, the company participates in local campaigns such as for child cancer, and similar charity event, sometimes with employee contributions being doubled by the company.
In Helsingborg Elcowire have increased our monetary contributions and engagement in our local community by supporting local Handball Club OVs initiative to create a meaningful leisure time for children in socioeconomically challenged areas. OVs initiative handball and school includes activities such as sport and homework help, and their activities engages 430 children on a weekly basis. We also offer our employees the opportunity to be part of this initiative by supporting children with homework help during paid working hours.
